Course Objective

This course is designed for passenger handling personnel to get familiar with the ‘Provisions of the technical instructions for the safe transport of dangerous goods by air’ and ‘IATA dangerous goods regulations manual’ and ‘The Aircraft (Carriage Of Dangerous Goods) Rules, 2003’ to deal with all types of dangerous goods covered by these regulations.

This course is to train passenger handling personnel to deal with all types of dangerous goods.

Course content

recognize dangerous goods
knowledge of the origin of the current regulations and be aware of the general philosophy
identify the classes of dangerous goods
recognize the hazard/handling labels applicable to dangerous goods
recognize dangerous goods packaging
identify potential hidden hazards in baggage and cargo
create awareness of the provisions for dangerous goods in baggage of passengers and crew
familiarity with dangerous goods emergency response procedures
Indian legal regime on carriage of dangerous goods by air
