A FIRST OF ITS KIND SKILLING INITIATIVE

Aviation Multi Skill Development Center (AMSDC)- Chandigarh

A first of its kind Aviation Multi-Skill Development Center (MSDC) was launched by the then Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri. P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju in the presence of Member Parliament Ms. Kirron Kher, Anandpur Sahib & Mr. Prem Singh Chandumajra, senior representatives of Industry/stakeholders, MoCA, NSDC, AASSC.

The Skill Center a CSR initiative of Airports Authority of India (AAI) in collaboration with National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and Aerospace & Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC) with BESTT as the training partner aims at skilling as well as up-skilling, in Aviation Sector, to empower unemployed, underprivileged youth and women in particular.

This Centre would train about 2,400 youth and women in eight aviation job roles over the next three years.

NSDC, the implementing agency of MSDC, in collaboration with the Bird Education Society for Travel & Tourism (BESTT) has been undertaking the training programmes. The course curriculum and assessments of the training have been designed by AASSC in accordance with the National Skill Qualification Framework. The candidates will be certified by the NSDC through the AASSC.
